WHO WE ARE
CLOTH HALL is a curated textile house and designer resource, bringing together fabrics, wallcoverings, and rugs with a distinct point of view. Drawn from independent makers and established studios around the world, each collection is selected for its materiality, craftsmanship and ability to bring depth, character and enduring quality to interiors.
THE TEAM
Founded by Sarah Lowry, CLOTH HALL reflects a lifelong connection to textiles, craftsmanship, and design. A graduate of OCAD University, where she received the Governor General’s Academic Medal for her work in woven textiles, Sarah brings over 20 years of experience in textile design, product development, and creative leadership across the home décor industry.
Her career has taken her around the world, working directly with mills, manufacturers, and artisans; experiences that shaped her appreciation for materiality, process, and enduring design.
During her own home renovation, Sarah identified an opportunity to serve the Toronto interior design community by providing access to exceptional textile and wallcovering collections from around the world, otherwise unavailable in the Canadian market. In the fall of 2024 CLOTH HALL came to fruition.
OUR NAME
From the Middle Ages through the 18th century, cloth halls stood at the centre of commerce in towns and cities across Europe. These gathering places brought together merchants, artisans, and makers to trade textiles and finely crafted goods, shaping the economic and cultural identity of their communities.
As the textile industry evolved through industrialisation, the traditional cloth hall, and the collaborative exchange it fostered between craftspeople and trade professionals, gradually disappeared.
CLOTH HALL is a contemporary interpretation of that legacy: a place where designers connect with artists, makers, and exceptional textile and wallcovering collections from around the world. Through these collaborations, we help create interiors grounded in craftsmanship, materiality, and cultural connection.

Supporting women-led creative businesses is central to CLOTH HALL. We work with female artists, designers, makers, and trade professionals in Canada and around the world, celebrating the talent, perspective, and entrepreneurial spirit they bring to the industry.

CLOTH HALL believes contemporary craft deserves greater visibility and support. Through partnerships with educational, cultural, and creative institutions, we help sustain the broader textile community while creating meaningful pathways for emerging makers through mentorship, internships, employment, and representation.
MADE IN CANADA
CLOTH HALL is committed to placing Canadian designers and makers in conversation with their international contemporaries. We continue to seek out distinctive Canadian studios whose work brings a strong material point of view to the collection.
SUSTAINABILITY
CLOTH HALL favours small-batch and made-to-order collections, where considered production is part of the design process. Across our represented studios, thoughtful material choices, responsible methods and enduring craftsmanship help reduce excess and create pieces intended to be lived with for years.
