Based in Atlanta GA, Shea has been practicing the art of orizomé (folding & dyeing paper) since she was 6 years old and continues honing her craft to this day. Each design from the Chez Shea collection originates from a single piece of paper, meticulously folded and intricately dyed in sections. The art is in the folding and dyeing manipulation process. The designs are then digitized. Final fabrics and wallpapers are left in the original state as much as possible in order for the viewer to enjoy the idiosyncrasies of the art form on walls and soft furnishings.
