Bethany Mabee is an American artist who explores colour and pattern and the parallels between art and everyday life through bold, abstracted compositions. 

Bethany’s printed fabrics and wallpapers are created from small sections of her large-scale paintings. Seeking cycles and patterns in the world around her, Bethany plucks out areas of a painting to expand and replicate into pattern as an extension of her art practice. While painting, Bethany explores the contrast between feminine fluid markings against bold masculine lines. You’ll find evidence of this in her patterns which appear geometric from afar, but reveal hand-painted layers upon closer view.​​​
